The Department for Informatics

    The Secondary Technical College

... lasts 5 years and provides the students with:

    • a sound general education that grants university admission
    • a solid theoretical background and comprehensive practical training in the field of  Informatics and Software Engineering

The students acquire advanced knowledge of  software engineering, database systems, network structures, the planning and handling of projects, especially in software development, accounting and business organisation.

Practical professional experience is one of the major concerns of this special training focus. Working for one or two days a week in computer labs and mandatory work placements of at least eight weeks form an integral part of our high-quality technical and vocational education and training. Participation in various internal and external projects with different companies further promote the integration of practice-oriented forms of work at school.

This well balanced offer of solid general education, subject-related theoretical background and high level of relevant practical experience qualifies our graduates to work primarily in the fields of computer and network system analysis, management and administration, in the generation, testing and maintenance of software, and as organisers and controllers in a wide range of different corporate fields.
